Philodendron plowmanii - Large

Featuring large, heart-shaped leaves and distinct colouration, Philodendron plowmanii is highly valued by collectors. In its early stages, the plant displays iridescent silver patches, which later develop into shades of yellow and green. The petioles exhibit a delicate pink tint, while the roots showcase a striking red hue.

The Philodendron plowmanii typically thrives in its natural habitat where it receives partially filtered sunlight through the forest canopy. To mimic these conditions in your home, it is recommended to provide bright to medium indirect lighting.

For optimum growth, it is important to allow these tropical houseplants to dry out partially between waterings. It is recommended to maintain consistently moist conditions, but overwatering can harm the roots and lead to root rot. Utilize an aerated, well-draining soil mixture that retains some moisture.
