Both are well-built 3ft vivariums, but they take a different approach to construction and visibility, and the right choice depends on what you're prioritising.
Vivexotic Repti-Home Maxi Medium:Â
ProRep 90x45x45cm:Â
A 3ft vivarium works well for a wide range of medium-sized reptiles. Corn snakes, royal pythons, milk snakes, kingsnakes and leopard geckos are all commonly housed in this size, as are many invertebrates. The deeper and taller Maxi Medium format also opens this size up to species that need more floor space. Always check the adult size requirements for your species before committing to an enclosure size.
It can work for many adult royal pythons, depending on the individual animal. Royal pythons are a relatively sedentary species, and a 3ft enclosure at the right depth can be suitable for smaller to average-sized adults. Larger individuals may benefit from a 4ft enclosure as they grow. The key factors are that the snake can fully stretch out comfortably and that you can create a proper temperature gradient from one end to the other.
Yes. The Vivexotic Repti-Home Maxi Medium range is designed to stack, as long as the sizes match. This makes the 3ft Vivexotic options a practical choice for keepers housing multiple reptiles in the same space.
The deciding factor is your species' natural behaviour. A taller enclosure gives more vertical space, which benefits species that climb or that need elevated hides and temperature zones at different heights. A shallower, wider footprint suits ground-dwelling species where floor space and a clear warm-to-cool gradient are the priority.
