Common boas are a very popular exotic pet in the UK and many peoples second pet snake. They are usually freindly and get to a good size making them an impressive pet for an experienced keeper. Unlike many other snakes they have live young making them very exciting and rewarding to breed.
They can usually be kept comfortably in wooden enclosure around 5-6 x2x2ft in length however very large females might appreciate a little more space.
Common boas are a great choice of pet for people who might not have much time for upkeep as they do not require much care and as adults may only need feeding once every 2-3 weeks.
